What the heck is cacao husk tea? It’s a natural tonic infusion made from the husks of perfectly roasted cacao beans. It’s a unique brewed drink that sits somewhere in between dark chocolate and tea.

After trying this cacao husk tea for herself earlier this year, Tout de Sweet's owner (Jeanette) knew she had to bring this unique and flavourful tea to her customers.
Avanna means coming from the North in Inuktitut. Cath quit her geologist job in the James Bay region to pursue her quest to find the best cacao plantations. She filled her backpack and left for one year to discover cacao plantations across the world. Back in Montreal (with 23kg of Peruvian cacao hidden in her backpack), she got to work roasting, grinding, conching, and tempering. Avanna chocolate company was born.
